Code Art expands the frontiers of fine art by incorporating programming language (code). In Code Art programs are removed from their traditional context, a software program, and inserted into mixed media artistic representations, such as a fusion of computer graphic output and oil on canvas.

Code Art bridges the gap between mass culture and technology at a new, deep level. Artists in this medium seek to expose users to the hidden language of programing which powers an increasingly large amount of human experience.
